Hello. My name is Samuel Jay Smucker and I am running for Champaign County Board in District 8.
As a County Board member I am committed to a responsible and caring county government. For me, this means protecting Champaign County's natural resources. It means taking responsibility for the standard of elder care in our community through the nursing home. It means offering the opportunity of rehabilitation to people under county supervision. It means providing for the animals under county protection.
I am running in District 8 which includes West Urbana, the University of Illinois campus, and north Savoy. You can see a map of District 8 here.
